IMPORTANT:
Once you import your GPX file and turn it into a Ride, make sure you switch Auto Recalculate to OFF. If you get off route, do not hit recalculate, as the Garmin won’t redirect you back onto your custom route, it will try and route you to the destination in the quickest way possible, essentially overwriting your route. As long as you stay on the static route line, the Garmin will give you turn-by-turn directions, but once you leave the route, that all goes out the window.

The GOAT
(Dirt Roads & Paved Roads)
(Secs 4 & 5 - Sec 5 Loop)
“The Great Ohio Adventure Trail (GOAT) is the first route developed for adventure motorcycle and overland travel to cross Ohio, in its entirety, from the Ohio River to Lake Erie. The GOAT is a scenic ride for adventure motorcycles and overland vehicles that uses dirt, gravel and paved roads to travel through remote parts of Ohio, passing through small towns, state parks and all 3 units of Wayne National Forest. This 1,138-mile route primarily uses forest roads and rural country byways to lead riders through the western Appalachian plateau, state forests and reclaimed land from Ripley, on the banks of the Ohio River, to Conneaut, on the shores of Lake Erie.”
